Julie and Jenn are back for a special Extra Extra episode! And this time, we’re diving into our experience seeing Supergirl at an advanced screening!
 
We’re sharing our immediate reactions fresh from the theater: first impressions, favorite moments, things that surprised us, and a few elements that didn’t totally work for us. We also talk about watching the film through our perspectives as women and discuss some of the themes and character moments that stood out.
 
Heads up: this episode includes minor spoilers. Nothing huge (we’re not giving away major twists or ending moments) but we do talk about a few scenes, character details, and moments from the film.

Church Of Metropolis -- the episode where we meet Mayson Drake, a bold district attorney who appreciates Clark's "ordinary" side (especially in very warm rooms.)
Church of Metropolis -- our introduction to Bill Church, the first of several Churches who'll grace Metropolis with their chaotic presence.
Church Of Metropolis -- the episode where, once again, Clark is presumably inside a burning building, and Lois doesn't give a singular care. 
Meanwhile, Lois gets bugged, Perry gives Jimmy terrible relationship advice, Superman breaks more stuff, Martha takes a psych class, and Jonathan rolls up his sleeves and hands out baked goods to his very confused son.

It's the episode you've been itching for! Bronson Pinchot is The Prankster, a wacky weapons designer who's set on getting revenge on Lois. Send in the creepy singing puppets, dangerous diamond rings, and scoreboards with Lois's face on them! When the pranks go from annoying to deadly, though, Lois seeks refuge with Clark... in an adorable scene that, at the end of the day, really does make our hearts sing! ❤️
Meanwhile, Jimmy is completely clueless, we get to visit the "absolute bottom of Metropolis" (hey, look -- a gum wrapper on the ground!), and Pete From Sports is sick of your crap! Give that man a raise -- orrrr don't.

SLEEPOVER AT CLARK'S! The Kents are visiting Metropolis so that Jonathan can be distracted out of his grief, and Stuart Hofferman (the titular SOURCE) just needs a safe place to hide. So what if Clark only has one bed in his apartment? Everybody pile in for season 2, episode 3, THE SOURCE!
Meanwhile, Jimmy gets jealous (again), Perry does crossword puzzles, Clark fixes copiers, Lois wins races against bratty teens, Superman makes weird faces, and bad guys play guitars and juggle balls. Oh, and Metropolis has a subway now!!🚇 Spoiler alert: we'll never see it again.

S2E02 - Wall Of Sound: "Justice For The Trashy Brunettes"

AWAKE, MY CHILDREN -- Wall Of Sound is here!
Some guy with a British accent and a penchant for sound is robbing banks and knocking down buildings. Meanwhile, in a complete coincidence, another guy with a British accent is singing about his "wall of sound" and about buildings crumbling.
Wait -- could there be a connection?
Indeed. Lenny Stoke, aka "The Sound Man," is our villain of the week, and he's armed with a power glove, a sound gun, 8,000 bluetooth speakers, and a posse of henchpeople. Really, I don't think this guy can be stopped. 
In other news, Clark gets an award nomination! Lois and Jimmy do not -- which sends both of them spiraling. Jimmy goes motorcycling straight into danger, and Lois spends her monthly wardrobe budget on leather. It sounds completely bonkers, but 2/3 of us like this episode fairly well. We especially like... THE SONG. Hum, I mean come along with us as we talk about season 2's second episode!

S2E01 - Madame Ex: "Double Fudge Crunch Bars"

Season 2 is here, and we're discussing Madame Ex, L&C's second season premiere!
The Daily Planet is back in operation! Lois and Clark have returned to their jobs, the newsroom has a brighter vibe, and there are a few new faces around -- a staff psychiatrist (Arianna Carlin), for one, and a new face on... well, Jimmy. Meanwhile, Teri Hatcher does double duty as both Lois AND her sinister lookalike, a woman who commits a bunch of terrible crimes, including "going on television," and "using her left hand." But this is all nothing compared to what -- or should we say who -- is currently on "simmer" in a laboratory basement. 
It's the beginning of what WE remember as our favorite season. Will it still hold up?

S2E00 - Lois & Clark Season 2 Preview!

Heck yeah, it's Lois & Clark Season 2! Uh... what happened to Jimmy? Is Lex really gone? Does the Daily Planet just not have a society column anymore? What's with that ticker tape on the wall? And... no way... not FAX MODEMS ON ALL THE DAILY PLANET COMPUTERS!
Join us as we zoom back to the summer of 1994 for that pivotal shift that happened between seasons 1 and 2. The cast got smaller, the effects budget got bigger, and (sorry Jimmy) the Daily Planet doesn't run the Jumble Puzzle anymore. But fear not! This is the season of Clark's shamefully hilarious excuses. Of new love interests. Of Lois's apartment shifting floors. Of Space Rats and time travel and Kryptonite lipstick. And we love it. At least we think we do...?
Will Season 2 hold up on a rewatch? We're about to find out! Listen along as we make predictions, talk about changes we'll be making to our pod, and say goodbye (& hello!) to some of L&C's producers, writers, and cast members.
